Kiriya Nishina was born in Nagano, Japan, in 1986.
Through photographic practice, Kiriya’s work explores the various tensions that arise between human culture and nature, with visual reference to the complex processes of artificial production from natural materials, managed nature in urban areas, the wildness of nature, and the boundaries that exist between human and natural territories.
